In the past decenia being a man has evolved. Metroseksual (2002), de Uberseksual (2006), de Retroseksueel (2008) to The Modern Gentleman (2009). When asked to do a piece on the Dutch gentleman, most of the people I know laught out loud( not even sniggered)at the sound of. It seems that the equasion of being Dutch and a gentleman i not a commen denominator. Dutch men have a certain image, and well being a gentleman like is not necessarily their forte. Of course this is generally speaking the image, and in my experience they are rare but if you look carefully, you can find them in most unusual places….
